CASH FOR KORBIN

Hello everyone, I know for the last while times have been hard when it comes to finances. I also know the power in what I can create by not sitting back and watching things pass me by. I choose to inspire and assist this world and everyone in it any way I can.
The way I choose to make a difference today is ask all of you to assist me make a difference in a friends life. There is a fundraiser going on called Cash for Korbin. My dear friend Jessica Steele has a son named Korbin that at age 18 months was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. They have done a wonderful job learning all they can and the last 7 years Korbin has taken this on like a champ and learned everything he can to better his disease. His mom and dad, Jessica and Brad have never asked for help. They are very strong and hard working people. Jessica is also going to school to work in the diabetic field. With all their trials they have received they have always looked at it in a positive way and new that things will be OK. This last year Korbin was dished another painful trial. He was diagnosed with Perthes Disease. (to learn more about this disease please check out Jessica's blog www.thesteelefamilyfour.blogspot.com) It has to do with his bones and he has a lot of pain in his hips which has made it hard at times to walk and play like the little kid he is. It has been very hard for Jess and Brad to watch as Korbin sits because of his pain instead of playing outside with the other kids. With all the pain and some limitations he has he still takes this on with such determination and love for his life. He is so young and so loving and strong. I truly honor him and his mom. My wonderful and loving friend Shawna has started the fundraiser and I wanted to do everything I can to assist her cause. As a type 1 diabetic (since I was 3) myself I know the monstrous debt that can follow this disease. With all the debt that comes with diabetes and now this surgery and all the debt that will follow we want to assist and surprise them with money to go towards their hospital bills. I know that some of you do not know this family, but I am asking you all to trust me that we would not be asking for assistance if is was not deserved. This family does not ask for help, they are very hard workers and they do everything they can and beyond to make everything work. They are a wonderful, strong and very inspiring family. Please find it in your HEART to make this fundraiser a success. Contact me with any question and donations. Get the word out to your friends and loved ones. You can see some pictures of Korbin and his surgery on Shawna's blog. (one of the pics is VERY graphic of his surgery)
